Professional Eye Examinations

We provide comprehensive eye exams to patients 2 years of age and older in a personalized, caring environment. Our comprehensive eye examination includes testing of visual acuity (nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism and presbyopia) and glaucoma and cataract assessment. Our state of the art equipment allows us to provide an accurate prescription of your eyes and to detect, diagnose and treat your overall ocular health.

We compliment our routine eye exams with diagnostic testing performed in a few area offices. Computerized diagnostic technology is implemented to successfully diagnose and treat ocular disease as well as fit contact lenses. Commitment to Children’s Vision

The American Optometric Association recommends that pre-school children receive a complete vision exam at the ages of six months, three years and again at five years. A complete eye exam is recommended yearly for all school aged children. Accommodative (focusing) and binocular (eye teaming) disorders and other subtle vision abnormalities are not detected during routine physicals. In Massachusetts, it is now mandatory that children have a complete evaluation within 12 months prior to entry into Kindergarten. Dr. Galeucia provides children with specialized vision and eye health exams in his office, as well as volunteers his time performing screenings for Hopkinton’s pre-schoolers.

The Opticians at Hopkinton Eye Associates are skilled, licensed individuals who pride themselves in providing quality eyewear. We take time and sit with our patients and help them select complimentary frames and lenses which best fit their individual needs.

Frames

We are able to offer a wide variety of stylish and affordable eyewear that are backed by the manufacturers warranties. In addition we offer sunglasses, protective sport eyewear, prescription swim goggles, prescription ski goggles and a variety of specialty sports eyewear. Hopkinton Eye also offers a wide selection of children’s frames using polycarbonate lenses which are scratch resistant, impact resistant and provide 100% UV protection.

Contact Lenses

A wide variety of contact lenses are available at comprehensive prices with most orders available within 24 to 72 hours. Emergency replacement contact lenses are often available from Dr. Galeucia immediately.

Laser Vision Consulation and Co-Management

If cataract or LASIK surgery is required, Dr. Galeucia works closely with highly skilled ophthalmologists to exchange vital information before and after your surgery to provide optimal care.
